Edit 1 Video Productions can transfer your videotapes to DVD to exacting client requirements.
With the aid of our state of the art computer hardware & software technology, we will transfer your video to DVD for playing in a DVD player that can be viewed on a conventional or widescreen television. DVDs can also be played on computers that have inbuilt DVD players.
Additionally, Edit 1 Video can transfer your master tapes to PAL format DVD or NTSC format DVD, depending on what country the DVD is to be viewed.
Our video to DVD process is uncompromising in approach and quality. The process involves a number of stages.
1. Your videotape material is digitally captured on computer in real time onto ultra high-speed drives that suit the video format.
2. The video file is encoded on computer to the default format for DVD, which is called MPEG2. Utilising a 2-pass software encoding process, the entire video footage is first analysed with each frame of video being allocated a specific compression bit rate for optimum picture quality. The second pass creates the MPEG 2 file.
3. We also convert the audio to Dolby Digital - the DVD audio default standard.
4. The MPEG2 and Dolby Digital files are then brought together in our DVD authoring software program. We will then create your DVD to your specifications. This may include starting the program immediately, menus with chapters, surround sound, alternate language subtitles and even web links.
5. The final stage is then burning the program onto DVD.
We use the highest quality inkjet printable blank DVD media that allows us to print onto the DVD almost up to the centre spindle hole. From simple text printing to full colour image, Edit 1 Video Productions can label your DVDs according to your specifications and artwork.
